Thank you for answering this first post. Being a first, some quick introductions are in order. I am a seven years practiced Game Production student finishing his senior collage year. Those seven years from solo learning projects to fromal classes have been a trilling time. I've learned an intrense amount reguarding how awsome games are ultimatly built. (a bit about not-so awsome projects too...) Only aiding others with workflow challanges will benifit more than gaining aid.

My current challange involves controling Maya's Toon Line System. Polycounts on my current characters was a focus right from the start. At high LOD, 3929 polys would fly on any next-gen gaming engine. Add even a single offset mesh, and profile lines alone boost that count into 8000-10000 poly ranges. That is simply not acceptable with five characters on screen at once.

Most every hand drawn curve can be delt with using textures. Outlines and overlaping line are the lone prospect that texture maps simply cannot accomplish. I'm tinkering around with camera angle solutions now, but any alterante techniqes would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The character whom's reciving these lines is not of my ownership. Renders will be posted when/if the owners permition is obtained.
