I'de like to know how to bevel a simply star? I've a problem with each corners, my star seems completly crashed out, because I think of a multi penetrations of each polygons?
How can I do to make a perfect beveled star?
Thanks a lot.

make a star shape with splines, extrude then use a bevel modifier or just convert to editable poly then extrude the front face out and scale it down
Tis always a bugger this one. Easy way to fix it is to do a sort of reverse bevel. If you take your star shape and think of it as the end of the bevel insted of the beggining, ie it is at it's smallest now. So when you bevel you do it backwards. I'm not explaining this particularly well so I'll run through the steps :)
make a spline star (radius 1=100 radius 2=30,
apply a bevel op to it,
set level 1 height to 10
set level 1 outline to 3
set level 2 heaight to 20.
and there u have it, see what I mean? backwards.
cheers
