You mean, illuminate the scene with gi, but without color bleeding ? Don't think you get control on mr for such things.

yeah, this seems to be the same across the board, MR only offers secondary illumination. So to fake a skylight people usully use self luminous skydome. Personally I think mental rays controls for GI suck, i.e. their rudimentary, and also I find its secondary bounce level gives everything a kind of metallic look. I think it may actually use a single focus value for all secondary illum bounces.

i.e. its shite

do yourself a favour, get brazil, feel the quality ;)

yeah with no color bleeding MR suck but what should i use as alternative is it VRAY or FINALRENDER Or other cause i work with interior design and i want the sun to illuminate a room through a window which i best VR or FR or other

Depends on your budget. Personally I use Brazil, if you want to purchase it you can certainly request an evaluation of it firsy from Splutterfish before you buy.

I think if I had no renderer right now, I'd choose between either Brazil or Vray. Vray has the advantage of price, whilst Brazil is very well designed, and offers a large number of workflow improvements over other systems.

I've not used Final Render myself, but a number of people have bought it and never used it, for a number of reasons. I havent heard of anyone not liking Brazil or Vray yet...

Then again, I've seen some great work with Final Render, so it is capable of good output Anyway, for now, ask Splutterfish for an evaluation of Brazil, and get it if it hits the mark for you.

Lemmie know how it goes ;)

umm! why not use max s own GI?its actually perfect for what u r looking for.bleeding can be controlled too....
speed cant be a factor as MR is low on max anyways..

Heya,

The Brazil r/s Public Test is still available at :
http://www.splutterfish.com/download/Brazil_test_0_4_53.zip

I must stress, though, that the Public Test is not representative of the full versionof Brazil r/s anymore - not by a long shot.

If you're serious about evaluating Brazil r/s - try contact@splutterfish.com ; they're currently handling evaluation requests on a case-by-case scenario

Best regards,
Richard Annema

lol, dude take it easy!

never mentioned Brazil, so chill out.

I just observed something, its not like I pick on your image (or you personally)because, I see it happen often(the floating thing).

If you say:" or wait for stage 1... I think you should" then you should give them a reason to.

now make peace not war.
