No, i have no idea. I heard that the next product would be called something else than max, but that's surely just blah.
Weha, this is my first post from my new computer, in Windows Xp, man it's great.

I really hope that they make shapemerge operate on polygon-level.:D

I cant wait. I have all kinds of stuff I'd like to see. I'm working on some ideas right now to send in.

wolf: you gotta get (I consider this a must have) Style XP plus from TGT Soft (http://www.tgtsoft.com). Then go to themexp.org (http://www.themexp.org) and get the aqua base theme. It's the closest look to OSX. If your not into the mac look, there's a ton of other stuff there too.

If they're gonna rename it, then it's a logical decission. All of discreets products have a name related to things in life, think flame, ice, inferno, combstion, flint. So perhaps they name it Magma, like 3dsmax 4 was codenmaed huh :D

Anyways, they better implement a standard GI render, polytools/meshtools for better sub/d moddeling and some more stuff I can't think of right now.
And they better fix the postfx filters like glow, that one has never worked like it should.

and they better port it to unix, they can rest on their wintel laurels only so long.
Igninte would be a good name, lol
