xshark 01-28-2003, 05:23 AM Does anyone know anything about this show - if it is worth attending?

Seems to have a bunch of interesting speakers and classes. Anyone go to last year's shows in NY http://www.mindshareventures.com/nydv/ or LA http://www.ladvshow.com/

From what I read it seems that there are some classes on Softimage XSI, After Effects, Maya.....
They look to be full day sessions, each of which has been broken down into smaller 1:15 minute classes like texturing, or transfer modes......
What I dont get is that the Softimage website is alowing you to register for the FREE classes, but they will only let you sign up for one of those time blocks(not all of the 5 classes in the day).
The DVshow seems to cost 350 a day as well, so I am assuming that although the courses are free, to get to the course will cost you 350$.
So after that long paragraph(sorry about that), my question is........
For 350 bucks, can I attend the full day(all 5 XSI sessions)?, or can I go to only one?(That would suck).
For those of you with a brochure like mine, Im talking about the Thursday sessions , SI-T1, SI-T2, SI-T3, SI-T4, SI-T5.
Thanks again, if I get time after my deadline today I will try and phone them up myself, but we are just about to gear up and they are not open yet!
Thanks!

It looks like it is $350 for the day. I printed out the reg form and it just lists the entire day classes:
http://www.nydvshow.com/files/data/nydv03_form.pdf
But I don't even see the Softimage classes listed - I think those are being run by Softimage in the expo (which I think is free if you regiter online). Just max and maya in the conference track - and a night class on max Thursday for $125.
Let me know if you hear otherwise.
Thanks
