CGTalk - A little confused..

Hey guys, well im a 3dsmax user and want to learn softimage... I looked at that tutorial site but cant seem find a good tutorial for beginners. I guess im just confused in the interface and all and polygon modeling, such as how do you extrude or chamfer or bevel and all those tools used in modeling. Also usually u can hold down like shift or ctrl or alt and right click/middle click/left click to zoom/pan/rotate in your view, do you have to left click that camera icon on top of hte viewport and select what you want, zoom and w/e?

I guess im looking for a tutorial to get familiarized with the interface, and for beginning polygon modeling, could anyone help me find these? thanks

Tutorials that come with XSI are very good and easy to follow. You should start there.
If you want a grasp of the interface go to www.3dbuzz.com (http://www.3dbuzz.com) and d/l the free videos for XSI.

I think they are great and recommend them highly.
