View Full Version : Environment: high-res landscape
stephen2002 01-28-2003, 12:56 AM I finished this one about a month ago but have not gotten the chance to put it on the web untile now. The landscape was used in a 600DPI A3 poster size print, which translates out to about a 10,000 x 7000 image. It took 4 days to render on a P4 1.8 GHz with 1GB of RAM.

Let me know what your feeling is about the landscape, and the message.

I think this looks really nice!
Only complaint would be the font of the company text, it stands out too much, something less contrasting would be better. I like the message, but perhaps replace bringing with 'taking'. Otherwise, keep up the good work!

Very smooth, I think I like it. Reminds me of that planet outlook on Total Recall, but a more lighted and happier version, hehe. Cheers!

Mojoworld right? aye that prog is amazing due to the near infinite resolution u can get of detail. Tough i have to agree with the others about the font, a little bit too hmmm... either simple or glowy

Glad that people like it.
The company text I tried to make as flashy as possible without making it too tacky, looks like I went just a little bit too far. When it is printed out the glow dosn't look quite as strong.
I am working on other anims and stills with this planet, more on that later :D
