in all the tutorials i have seen for patch modeling, i have seen that all of the patches line up. i.e. a four sided patch would have four patches surrounding it as opposed to 5. but in this model that i downloaded from zoorender, this is not the case as you can see. there are also situations like this at the corner of the mouth as well as on either side of the eyes.
i am just wondering if this is good technique as far as modeling for character animation and if there are any concerns when using this technique. thanks for your help.
