View Full Version : Help for my wacom please... :(
whitemage7 09-05-2006, 10:45 AM Hi everyone, I bought this Graphire 4 2 months ago, and it worked well since. This 3-4 days ago, the pointer started to jitter. I've tried it at other pal's pc and it worked sweet. Afterwards, I used his wacom on my pc and it jitter as well. I have downloaded the latest driver for sure and formatted my computer just now. But still... Anyone has this kind of problem before? Please share. Thanks :)

ive tried all the ports in my pc and it's still the same. I have my mouse and webcam connected to the usb and they works. Argh, the jitter really pissed me off, I've brought it to the store and they couldn't do anything since it works fine there

Sounds like a USB issue.
You could try reinstalling your USB drivers (not just the Wacom drivers).
Try this site as a starting point for troubleshooting USB issues:
http://www.usbman.com/ (http://www.usbman.com/USB_Guides.htm)
If you can't be bothered going though all that, most USB problems can be solved by buying an add-on USB card, which will use it's own drivers and not those of the motherboard.
EDIT: Just a thought but you might also want to check it's not a problem with your MOUSE...if the mouse is malfunctioning or your desk is vibrating or something then this would upset the wacom.

Do you have USB 1.0 or 2.0 ports?
If you have USB 1.0 ports it could be that this causes the jittering because USB 1.0 isnt quite fast and maybe it cant handle the datarate from your wacom... just a guess

Once Wacom support told me to make sure there are no interfering radio frequencies that might create this issue. Maybe you bought a new gamma laser beam deflector - or something along that - which causes some interference. Just a thought to consider...

interference perhaps--see above post. this could be something as simple as moving it away from your computer monitor or away from speakers.

Hi all,
I've tried the usb solution and it didn't work. But eventually pentool's solution works for me. I rearranged the monitor and wacom position and the jitter's gone. Well not all, but it's much better than before. Thanks heaps guys!! :)
