no its an old and very dumb bug where scinema doesnt' recognize the selection of UV elements in the 3D space , it does show the polygons being highlighted but doesn't center the axis to allow rotation.

The best workaround is to use a Flexcam type setup.

Simply make a Camera object and a null object.
Make the null a child of the camera.
in the camera settings at the bottom should be a rotation dropdown, choose object.
In the object slot place your null.

now when you move around the focus is always on the center of your screen according to where that null is.

The other method is to make the camera a child of the null, this way you can snap the null to any object, point, polygon etcand then your camera will rotate around that point.

yeah, thank you
im using similiar method with nulls "pre-created" in extreme areas->hands, feets, head etc

hope this insect will be fixed in further >R< with some unwarp and UV edge edit added
