Yo all Maya users!
Well here i am again and i got some questions about this model i'm working on right now...
I'm doing this SpongeBob for a Nickelodeon add but i need some thoughts on how to do the rig here!

I made the model using diferen parts like the arm and legs! I'm gonna have problems with that? Should i combine it all or even merge the vertices?
And also don't mind the texture (there are none yet) and the BG! This is just a illustration for the people at Nickelodeon!
And how about creating a sponge shader??? hehehehe
this is gonna be a challenge!

are you gonna have probs with different parts? Depends on if you are gonna smooth skin him. Personally, I prefer a combined mesh as it prevents tearing, once the verts are merged. If you were gonna animate him by using deformers then I'm not sure if you would need to combine him.
