hi freaks,

don't know if cgtalk is the right place for this, but i'm interested in your opinions.

"hi freaks" is a "4kilobyte realtime animation + music"-demonstration.

the goal was to produce a 4kilobyte windows executable, which shows as much "3d meshes" as possible, synchronized to music.

meshes are done with my own mini-editor and they had to be very lowpoly to fit into the given rules.

the rendering is done using opengl.

have fun...

that is damn impressive for 4k

being able to do things with only 4k is very important these days!

Hmm there was no sound! My midi ports are open...But no sound!

The motions are very slow...The last one: it was very boring to see moving it out of the screen!!!

Sorry, about the crit. But that's cgtalk > the crit center :p

What's next? Any BIG demo? :wip:

Cya.

Damn, that was a very large file and took all night to download, but it was worth it. Very cool, you must have compresed like crazy, there's no need for this kindof size, but it's a cool challenge.

Excelent! I love these mini demos. 4K must be the smallest one I've seen for animation and sound. You should work for m$ perhaps you can get their bloatware OS back onto a floopy disk :bounce:

considering its only 4k its a pretty good job.

A while a go I saw a few files like this only they were 64k and they were absolutely stunning.

They can be found here.
