View Full Version : proped up wacom
rattsang 09-03-2006, 11:26 PM has anyone tryed proping up there wacom at an angle? i tried it today and found it much better as less of my arm rested on the wacom surface and that resulted in smoother strokes. this is probably only suitable for wacoms at a4 or over. anyway does anyone have any good ideas for keeping it at the desired incline while being stable. loike is there anything i can buy to prop it up with out obstructing my screen- or anyone got any niffy constructions they'd like to share

I am using an A5 (wide) wacom tablet and what I have done was to simply attach those PostWorx 'speedballs' (used to help the cooling of laptops) underneath, and I find it a nice angle to work with :) Hope this helps.

Hmm....i just tried that out and found that i arms are suspended or resting on my elbows if i inclined my wacom (I have a wacom a5 btw).
I place it on my right, where the mouse supposed to be. to me its a natural place for it to be after more than a decade of hand-eye coordination practice with mouse.
So putting it at an angle is unnatural......for me at least.

i did say this is probably only suitable for wacoms *****A4 AND OVER*****
btw desk height is also a factor
I've always used mine at an angle, but unfortunately the axis is the edge of my desk, so where it was touching on the back of the wacom has completely rubbed off the sticker that has the serial number and other details on it. I hope I don't need that some day.
