Mike,

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your book! Are you an Art Center graduate? I see that you are based in Pasadena. :)

It would be great to see some of your students' work here on the forum! I would be curious to know how you came to find the Anatomy Forum. :)

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

No, I am not an Art Center grad. I did teach there for a fantastic year though. I graduated from SVA. I now own my own school in Pasadena. Here is some student work! Alec did the hand and Aya did the face and torso.

Mike,

Great to have you aboard. :) I hope that you and your students might become a regular part of this forum!

I can see the SVA James McMullan and Hogarth influence in your students' work - that's great to see! I was taught by a student of McMullan's at ACCD, Jeff Smith, whom you may have met - a great teacher in the McMullan style. As well I had Hogarth, which was pretty phenomenal ( and hilarious). :) Actually I have a lot of their books listed here:

Anatomy Resources : BOOKS (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=257424)

Best of luck with your school - I'll have to swing by the next time I'm in LA. :)

Cheers,

-Rebecca

Ys I know Jeff. Jim was a big influence along with John Ruggieri and the late Jack Potter. I was trained at Disney so some of that creeps its way into my work. You can see all of these influences in the book. Also, def stop by if you are in LA! Would love to meet you.
