Hi there. Here's my latest character, "Bob"

I hope you like it.

I'm thinking of an animation for him, but unfortunately, my imagination seems to be a bit limited.

your creative ideas are always welcome... :)

Very cool...reminds me of Pepe's main character....maybe it's the eyes......anyway...looks very cool

Idea's:

He looks like that sword is a bit much to handle,.. perhaps a short story where he discovers it, tries to handle it and ends up cutting off a toe or something?

A snag gag would be cool on that hood, hooked by the swinging sword, pulled over eyes, etc...

I somehow also pictured him wetting his pants, but that could be the pepe thing again. Nice work!

Hi.

Thanks for those ideas. Ls3D, maybe you're right when you say that his sword is too big to handle... I don't know, I'll find that out as soon as he uses his sword in an animation. :hmm:

I was thinking of a 15/20-second thing, just a simple test.

Anyway, if you want to see him moving without his sword, there's a small animation I did for the february 10 second club (http://www.anilusionfilms.com.au/10secondclub/) contest.

>>>>> HERE (http://usuarios.lycos.es/andytoons/img/anim/10secFeb.avi) it is... (feedbacks always welcome)

i don't think the size of the sword is a problem. This could be one of the characters little "quirks". He has a sword that is to big for him so he is always struggling to swing it and when he does he cant really control it. An object that is to heavy for a character can provide for some great animation.

Love the simplicity of design. :applause:

How about the sword in the stone gag. He is trying to pull it out but it won't budge (lots of opportunity for straining, breathing hard, anger, etc) Then he pull so hard the handle comes off (big fall, get up dust off, realize what he has done) He lamely balences the handle back on the blade looking around to see if anyone had noticed. Then the walk away wistleing looking up with the hands behind his back like nothing has happened. :D

REALLY cool little dude.

I've got an idea for ur anim.
Lets say that this dude, Bob, is slaying a dragon and he's speakin to the viewer how he's gonna slay the dragon, BUT as he speaks to US, he tries to HANDLE his sword and once he gets it up, he realises it's too HEAVY and he falls once with the sword.

Jsut my idea.

I think this rocks, just so many possibilities of what you can do with him.

Just a suggestion, I do think maybe his ears stick out a little bit too much, however probably would have a different opinion if I saw them smaller ;)

Keep up the great work

Hi again, and thanks a lot for your ideas. :lightbulb

so_hi, even though we've all seen the sword in the stone gag thousands of times, I really like your version.

Raul-Reznek, Bob will probably have a dragon to fight with some day, but I'm afraid I don't know how he's going to speak (http://usuarios.lycos.es/andytoons/img/anim/10secFeb.avi), because I refuse to voice him... (any volunteers?)

Maybe I'll post some concept drawings of that dragon soon...
any ideas? I don't want to draw the typical dragon (though I know I'll end up drawing the typical dragon)
