Exactly 45' inPainter 8. I don't like it at all and i blame painter for that. It seems really heavy and bloated compared to photoshop, these days.

But if that's the case, I'd like to see what you put out in Photoshop. Painter feels that way to me anyway, but that's because I'm not very good with it. That said, I'm not actually very good with Photoshop either :D

Edit: Yay for Macs - on my PC the Greek charactersets don't map to my keys, so I can't say gr*th*s or m*l*k*s without getting really confused.

I was always scared to death by aliens since I was a child, and the most creepy thing about the greyones is that they can pop up in the middle of a bright day!
Trying some brushes ;)

when I saw greys I automaticly thought copik markers... so here is a copik style sketch

Hey I wanted to try A Different Medium. so I used 3Dmax 7.
I wanted to make A nasty looking little fella, :)

Time Brake Down...
making the model too about 13 mins , made from a Sphere with Editmesh and MeshSmooth
and UVW mapping and Dislpace. Body is a just box used EditMesh.
I made the Textures In Photoshop CS
they took about 10mins just a spec Level, Bump, and diffuse/displace map.
Then about 6 mins setting the lighting up
then 5 mins making the SSS skin look the way i wanted and the eyes plus a simple falloff for the body.
5 mins more on lighting
2 mins fixing stuff moving his head,
1 min filling up a gass of water "its thirsty work"
1 min Render then OHH Dam whats going on! something looks off "back fixing bugs"
then 9 mins in render ( MentalRay ) no GL. takes too long.

So it took around 44 mins
with rendering and adding the Signature a total of around 54-55 mins.

3D Max 7, Adobe Photoshop CS, A graphics tablet. oh and a mouse ;)

At last, the Gray that says He should be let rule the school !
Meet MOKi he does not like you as he thinks your eyes are too small ... small like your tiny inferior brains.. :)

Again a topic with lots of nice entries! I went for some random alien design, but was chatting at the same time on MSN, so I have no clue of the time it took me. With the chatting and web-browsing, one hour. In reality, maybe half the time, who knows...
