View Full Version : Game character: Medival officer
Jones_Stork 01-27-2003, 01:58 PM Hi!
This is my first WIP thread. The character is a medival mercenary officer for a non-commercial game. This would be fighting arena type game, with fights based on real rules of medival matrial arts.
I haven`t finish modeling so he doesn`t have textures yet.
The armour is to be a very close copy (as for a game model) of real 15th century armour.
I used to model from top to bottom so don`t be suprised to see his short pants :D
The mesh is not optimised yet.

I`m working in 3dStudio Max 4. Probably we will use .x format but we are in very early stage so we didn`t decided yet.

I finished the legs. Only a pauldrons remains to model. I think I will end up it with 2600-3000 polygons (2000 polys for now, not yet optimised). Meaby at the begining of next week I will show you some textures on it.

This is the first version of the matte painting for a frontend of our game.
Mostly photos are used, terrain is cg. (quite simple, maybe I will improve it in a future)
We have stopped our work for a while as commercial projects have some important deadlines, but maybe we will continue it soon.
