soo this is basically an entry for the WOW contest and any feedback is very appreciated...Its a orc mixed with a nightelf and its class is a mage. He is surrounded by rocks with what seems too be snow. and there is a branch he is holding in one hand that increases his mage abilities....i know i sound like i nerd on this but I just got sucked into playing the game plus on top of that that contest for WOW came out and I couldnt resist. Any CC Is great so all are welcome.

I put as many breaks between me painting and updating....here are more so you can see the progression. <----(is that a word?) :)

I put in some background feeling it all out. I wanted to do something like chisled stones coming up from beneath the ground.

WOW i just figured out that the Bristle brush in photoshop is AWESOME to use for blending....just wanted you all to know that if your having trouble finding a decent brush try that one out. Also i think the head is not proportioned to the body (my girlfriend pointed that out)

changed the head size and the shape.

on the bottom left would be a white tree thats been torn or knock to the ground and in the background growing from the rocks are other trees very bristle and seem easy to break....thats just an idea.

It's a bit immature, though I'm sure the judges wouldn't be above it, but I giggle a bit that he's holding a branch between his legs.
More seriously, his right arm seems to be oddly hidden under the cloak. His right shoulder is very small and wimpy, it almost looks like it's been crushed.

The drawing power through the branch idea is good, though, and the idea for the fallen tree & background trees gives it a neat little narrative. Is this a winter setting? Or will the foliage be generally white? It reminds me a bit of the white forest area in Paper Mario 2.

so i added some weight to his shoulder and added lighting to the right arm onto his cloak/cape.... as well as adjusted his left leg it was driving me crazy cause it seemed too big and something didnt look right. thx for the CC very appreciated throw more at me if possible as well as the environment he is in will be snow covered.
