Title: Nibbled
Name: Hu Xiaoping
Country: China
Software: 3ds max, combustion, Photoshop, VRay

130 million years ago, for the safe birth of baby dragons, winged dragons lived on the steep cliff, so as to hide from other hunting dragons. But only a few of them survived. Though the winged dragons expelled the enimies, they didn't know another thread was approaching...

I render the foreground , background, grass and dragons seperately, then combine then in combustion.

Hehe, I liked the barbed wire fence ! :)

Bit boring with 3 copies of the dragon, otherwise fine I think.

The skin shaders are great but the posing needs some help make one with mouth open one with wings down to break it up. I really like the tranlucent quality of the wings very good.

Great work, I love the concept. Technically good too, it just looks good.

Two crits: Like others said, the three dragons seem to have the same pose which looks weird. And two: I would leave out the third dragon completely.

With those two things changed, this would be a ***** work for me.

every detail by itself is great, but the composition lacks depth and is rather unstable and cramped i think. the dragons could use some more air to fly in.

Fantastic image. The dragons are so cute creatures. ;) I think that grass is a little bright and it distracts the viewer from the dragons, but if you aimed for the cartoony style then it looks ok...

A really fun scene. I like it. :D

I agree with the crits regarding the duplicated dragon, but beyind that I think you did a great job modleing, texturing, and lighting your scene.

Great work.

If you are going to say this was 130 million years ago, you might not want to put barbed wire around the nest...that didn't come until a little later (130 million years later). Maybe you could put thorns from a thorn bush or something.
