Hi, this is my first post. I did the model in Autocad 2000 (I'm an architect) and the render in 3d Studio Viz R3. I didn'nt use any kind of GI renderer, just lights, a lot of them.

Thanks for your replys.

Sorry for my English

Has a nice balance except for the blue painted element, which could look great in the final construction. How about more detail in that area, the detail of other surfaces is tighter. I would also desaturate the blue block and or put some more light on it.

Cracks in sidewalk? tighter grain? more real road surface?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I agree, the blue surface doesn't look very well, but, the architect who designed the building wants that colour, actually his office is painted in that colour. The textures needs more work, I agree to, but this is one of my weak points: I need to learn more about textures: they are too monotonous.

Thanks for the comment about my English, but, I know that I still have a lot to learn (I wrote this post with a dictionary on my hand).

Bye

looks great i started on a cad carrier path but i was rather young and was not into going to school at that time a wasted oppertunity on my part but anyway its almost perfect for photo realisim but as was mentioned the textures need a bit of randomality and dirt on them try using a high pass filter on them to make them seem less repeating here is a tut for max 4 but vis should be similar http://www.3dgate.com/techniques/2001/010625/0625hajba.html

Thanks for the tutorial, it's great and the site "3dgate" it's great to, there's a lot of tutorials. I use Autocad because it's very good for technical drawing but, 3d is a pain in ... I'm learning 3d Studio max.

Thanks
