Since we study 3D now for 1 year at school, which came as a shock because i did'nt knew we would have 3D in this school, i got these newbie quesitons which i asked our teacher, but he did'nt get the question so he gave me an answer which was'nt related to my question :D.

In this picture I can't choose an other polygon : http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/223/cinema4ddm9.jpg

Why is that? When i click on an other polygon then i'm only able to move that choosen polygon that is already selected!

But I have got "Live selection" on and "Use polygon tool" on. Why can't i choose an other polgygon right now? Why am i moving the selected one when i don't have "Move tool" on!

How do i now select an other polygon??

We just started one week ago, 2 lessons only. Thanks!

It could be that you're tweak mode. In this mode you can only select 1 point, polygon or edge at the same time and a lot of modelling tools are not available as a limitation of that mode.
Switch back to normal mode and it should work fine.
The tweak mode Icon is the 5th from botton to top on the left side.
Or you click on one of the axis. Clicking and draging on one of the axis arrows let you move
your current selection.
If you're in default mode with live selction selected you can add to selection by shift+right mouse click.
The mouse can be used like a selection brush. Click hold and move the mouse pointer over
the polygons you want to select.
with ctrl + click you can remove selected polygons from your selection.
(ctrl is command on a mac)

have fun

Thanks for the uselfull information! Though it sounded a little confusing since i was already in "Default mode", i was'nt sure before, but then i checked the picture! Is there a chance that it can switch to "Tweak mode" when i don't want to?? Like accedently press a certan button?
