View Full Version : Problem with Mental Ray 1.5

There is no Custom Shaders nodes when maya launches.

I created a object and assign blinn shader to it, then go to BlinnSG to map the Photon shader attribute. "Create Render Node" dialog box appeared, but there is no mental ray tab.

I forced to unload and re-loaded the MR plugin in plugin manager and there is mental ray tab in "Create Render Node" dialog box, but it is unable to map to Photon shader attribute.

What must i do? I am missing the fun!

By adding the environment variable to your maya.env file (or to your computer's env. vars) : MAYA_MRFM_SHOW_CUSTOM_SHADERS = 1
you will now have an additional hypershade menu - mr shaders
