Luma Pictures is an artist-run feature film VFX studio located a few blocks
from the beach off of Abbot Kinney in Venice, California. We maintain a
unique culture with an amazingly talented staff that consistently cranks
out top notch work. Staff and project positions are available for
exceptional artists in the following position(s):
Junior and Senior FX Artists:
Ideal Requirements:
- feature film experience using Real Flow
- proficiency with maya particles, 2D/3D fluids and rigid/soft body dynamics
- proven ability to create fire, water, dust, debris, snow, steam, fog
- mel scripting
Pluses:
- good design sense for creating abstract effects
- experience with Syflex cloth simulation
- experience with Shave and a Haircut Fur/Hair

- relentless attention to detail
- strong problem solving and communication skills
- desire to learn and contribute to a sophisticated pipeline
Pluses:
- Los Angeles area residents with 2+ years feature film experience preferred
