Great idea but needs another title fix. I like this one and may have to come up with something. I am a boar/pig. Now I just need to find out what Chinese Zodiac animal I am.

For people feeling lazy, here's a direct link to a table of dates where you get the zodiac animal and element associated:

Apparently I'm a wood tiger, so perhaps i should sketch a Trojan tiger :D

Thanks for the link Overcord! I am a Wood Ox so I decided to try the second option and draw myself with the Ox. I felt alot more confident using my tabet today then I did yesterday and I think it shows and even though I should be used to like self portrait excercies drawing with the mirror today felt mega akward.

For the longest time, I was under the impression that I was born in the Year of the Tiger (because it was always listed: 1986 = Tiger)... however, after doing some research for this sketch - turns out I was actually born in the Year of the Ox right at the transition between the two years (like the Chinese New Years Eve).

So, I decided to sketch both animals. Plus, tigers are one of my favorite animals and I was not going to pass up the opportunity to draw one just because I ws born a day too early.

Cool topic and great entries.
I did a metal monkey for a friend. I am a water dog, and water was too intimidating to try. I spent almost 5 hours(way too slow, I know) and I am not very happy with the result. Searched Google for Rodin's Thinker and monkey for references.

5 hours / photoshop / wacom

Wow! I'm a dragon in the chinese zodiac, the dragon Birgun (Bergen) in the next conversion, and where do I live? BERGEN, Norway! This is TOO freaky :D

At first I wasn't too thrilled about the idea of a sheep being my sign... So my sheep's not as excited about his year as most.

Great work! The Dagger: I love it!

Photoshop. 3 hrs.

I have recently started digital painting, and love the idea of this 'daily sketch' forum. Hope I will do better tomorrow ;)

Yes, the characters are swiped from the internet but do you think I'd leave something this important to my own hand? If I make the wrong squiggly I could insult generations of Chinese.
