'lo folks!

Gimme some comments on this frog-eating monster.
Maybe I'd call his species Frogtrolls?

One thing that bothers me is that he has no genitals...

cool design. I have only a couple of questions.

Is your character bouncing light onto the floor?
If it is you are looking at a large rendertime.

Is the hump below the knee another joint or the calf?
If it is another joint it would be the heel and the heel would be the ball of the foot....el diablo

Nice creature! Maybe we could stage a fight? :wip: My frog is 6' 5" (1.96 Meters). BTW - I did not see any genitals in Monsters Inc either. :mad:

Lots of character in that face :D. Great model Hannes.
Couple things i would do: he doesnt need genitals. Bugs bunny never did. Make that tail more of a stubby. The sharp point looks a bit odd. Maybe the knee/feet area need to be worked on a bit more. Make sure you dont have any problems when animating.

His face reminds me of the Abominable snow man in Monsters Inc. :D

Really cool h4. Hungry lookin' fella. Looks like he could wolf down a great deal of froggage.

about the genital thing - make him an amphibian/reptile, they hide their junk inside. (Amphibians/reptiles: Politically correct animals, created by politicians) :D

Hello people!

Thanks for your replies!

I went rather ill the other day...
Havnt been able to work on this since saturday, but i thought id give you some thoughts and answers.

First, the glowing scrotum
These renders are rendered in less than 10 seconds on my 800 MHz duron
Judging from that you can probably guess that no GI or anything like that is used, just evilly placed lights and a rather clewer shader based on falloff.

Second, the leg.
Its the calf, not an inverted knee or something like that.
I see your point. Ill do something about it...

Third, the genitals
Well youre right... most cartoon creatures have no genitals... Maybe that is why they are soo wind-up :)

im definetly going to have troubles setting up a workin' ik system on this fella... mainly because i suck in that area. secoundly because he is fat... which by the way may give him some nice secondary animation effects :)

well that about wraps it up..
