Hello all,
I just bought CDIK Tools and have been starting to play with the
NewIKBob rig and was wondering where the controller is for bending
the wrist. I found the wrist twist controller, but no bend. Am I
just missing something obvious?

Also, just looking into getting an animation layout setup for animating
NewIKBob. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to do
this? I am starting with the pre-built animation layout, but what, if anything
should I add to it? Just curious.

Thanks in advance.

You have to drill down the hierarchy a bit:

Open up one of the Shoulder_Null bones, then under a shoulder _r or _l, you'll see the Hand bone. Click on the Rotator tag and rotate that.

Awww so I wasn't missing anything in the controllers. Hmm... Maybe I
can create an expresso node that I can put with the controllers so it
is easy to access. Well it will be fun enough to try.

Thanks for the help Bob.

the controls for the wrist are set-up as user data sliders in the AM for the arm controllers...

Howdy,

Mark:
Take a look at the left hand setup on the attached file. This is a new type of setup I like to use that gives me an IK/FK blend for the hand.

Adios,

Cactus Dan,
Thanks for the update, this is exactly what I was trying to control. I must say,
that I've only been playing with the NewIKBob rig for a day or so and wow!!! I've
gotten so much further than I ever did with the Mocca or Maxon IK. Can't wait
to learn more, but I'm trying to learn first how to animate your rig, then I'll
learn how to build my own.

Thanks again for the wrist setup. Will you be updating the IKBob with this type of
wrist controller?
