Hi Folks-
We used to be Fluke, couldn't stand the name anymore. We are now FUSE. Just curious what some of you folks think of our new site and reel. I'm always open to critique. Let me know what you think.

Thanks
Alec

I love the new design and the whole new style. Fuse, hmm, not sure. Could be I´m so used to Fluke :) Anyway, the home link url points to disaster. :) Will look at the reel now.

Hey, absolutely cool reel! I love the story behind it. My favorite is the bug in the beginning, the aircraft coming out of the box and the michelangelo scene! Cool!

Some animations seemed a bit static, like the glowing bees (?), there was too little motion in their legs for example.

but overall, expressive stuff you got there. Very good motion, good timing between the shots, never gets boring and good stuff!

Good start and good luck. Fuse it baby ;)

Nice! I like the name, site design and reel. Also noticed that Josh "Patron" Miller in the credits. :D

Only crit about the site is that the text to the right is an image file, which causes the stupid IE save/print/e-mail icons to popup if you have your cursor over it.

Great work! Whoever through that ball is in a lot of trouble! And I did duck when it came through the window. LOL Very nice job. :)

Hey Alec, that's pretty cool. Didn't know anyone else in MSP used C4d or even had a production company. If you need any freelance help now and again, PM me. I'm not that strong of a swimmer (old SNL gag there ) ) but I mostly know my way around C4d and FCP Studio/Shake.

Wow--Nice work Alec.
That dust mite stapede looks just as cool today as it did the first time I saw it a few years back. Very nice site also.
I like Fuse better--sounds more contemporary and mography--and less like an intestinal parasite. :)

Alec,

Like the new look... retro/hip.. also, the baseball jello shot was seomthing I wasn't expecting! Just when I thought I'd wouldnt see anything new in bullet time... : )

On the Sistine Chapel shot, did you still render two passes out of 4D, one with the grenscreen element and one without to composite, or did you do the keying within 4D? Alpha channel in 4D I know, but I was thinking two passes of the Chapel...

Like the new look!

Excellent reel and like the new name, you can do alot of takeoffs with it. I also like the site, it loads fast, easy to maneuver and is elegantly simple but very effective.

What a beautiful reel you have there; rich and elegant. The site; sophisticated and to the point.
The name: use Fuse, its good.

Wish I was there. Congratulations!

Kind regards, Robert

Thanks Robert. It's been a ton of work, but worth every second.

Unfortunately I can't watch your reel as I'm on dialup, but you site and the content on it looks very good. I just think that you spikey loko looks a bit to archaic for my taste.

I loved the way you combined flash and html! Man, this inspired me to build my own company in the future, since we now in school are learning 3D, be company and sell product(a cardgame actually, company-style), website creating(flash , html, shockwave) and much much more.

This was very inspiring to watch, i loved the demoreel! Keep on doing what you do :).

Hi Joe-
The Sistine was rendered with the actor and green screen composited into the Cinema model. Other passes include the forground and some lighting plates. There's a little breakdown on that shot in the Virtual Sets page. Thanks for the comments.
