Here is a toon version...did real fast ...used defualt settings...I'll tweak it at another time...trying to get ready for GDC :)
Yup...I didn't put the antennas on yet...just wanted to get the meat of the model done......thanx for the feedback

That looks REALLY cool.Just as the ORIGINAL Noodle.
I love Gorillaz, I think 'tomorrow comes today' is the best.

I'll probably do the rest of them...but Passion pictures does such a good job that I'm sure that they will do all the videos for them....thanx for the comments!

That's really good. Did you see there performance on the British Awards? They were all done in 3D. It was wicked!

Here is a quick test of Noodle in Flash....Seems to hold up pretty good...

I personally think if you make it in 3D you should not toon shade it, it seems to defeat the purpose.
Nice work by the way.
I think you should take another look at the hands though, they seem a little bumpy. :D

I see ur point but some of the best characters work in both 2d and 3d.....think about all the famous 2d characters that make great sculptures and Toys.....I can't think of 1 Disney Character that hasn't been turned into a 3d item......something to think about

Dude that model rocks my balls! When you rendered it out with that toon shader it looked just like the 2d character from the videos. Well done!
