i think it s a bad idea stay with painter !!!

you will never have the same amount of brushes textures paper
and "feelings" in photoshop (even in ps7).

so my advice is

do what you have to do in painter, save it, and import it in ps.

good time saver

yes but
painter is very good at painting

and ps is very good when dealing with multiple layers and mixing with
fonts
also the link with after effect is very convenient.

thats what i do
when i need painter i use painter
when i need illustrator
ànd blend everithing in ps
then i animate my comps in ae.

dont spend time using a software that is not made the way you want.

Hi,

Try doing the base layers (sketch) (kind of a fill layer) in ps and then import the ps file into painter.

Painting is easier in Painter because of the tilt suport of airbrush if you use a tablet, so for me painter is best for paiting an ps is best for compositing.

But you can achieve excelent results in ps using bushes, airbrush and masks.

Goo Luck,
See Ya!

hey dude, check out tutorials on digital painting at www.3dluvr.com, thats where I got started.

You can also see some good ones at www.3dtotal.com (under freebies/tutorials/photoshop i think....). And you can try www.polycount.com, there are some there too I think. But 3dluvr has the best basics. Best of luck to you!
