Hi !

HELLO HELLO // BOX is a strange short movie directed by Stephen Crowhurst (http://www.hellohello.name/)

You can enjoy his work from his Website (10 Mb - Quicktime) (http://www.hellohello.name/)
The download is a littl bit slow but 'I've posted a little mirror Mpeg4 Video. The qualit is not so good but the download speed is good. Check this page (http://www.itsartmag.com/news/archives/657-Boxes-Everywhere.html) for more information.

"Weirdly cool" pretty much describes it :) . Nice pictures and interesting technique.

Does anybody which software was used for this? If i had to guess i'd say Houdini...but maybe it just reminds me of a Houdini-tutorial too much...

That was great!

Thanks for posting that.

I'm assuming he used one box model and animation as a source, but there are various ways with which he could have dispersed them. The main challange would have been the animation offset for each new box created.
Or maybe just by using animated geometry as a particle source. Hmmm. Cool stuff.
