Hi, I made it in max 4, and is my first complete human model.
I really appreciate c&c!!!
I'm start with the joan of arc tutorial for the body and some parts, and made the armor, hands, and some cloth by myself.
by now, I think the hair, hands, and belt needs a lot of work... :D

Hey, I think that the character design is cool, maybe a little more detail on the weapons and clothing. I think, from the angles that I am looking at, that the body seems a bit square looking. The legs look like they should be more rounded and maybe fuller in the thighs and butt. I think that hands would look better if they were a bit smaller. Also the chest could be smoother and maybe larger. I don't know if these are the crits you are looking for, but those are just a few things that I see. Great design, can't wait to see more wip pics. Cel :buttrock:

Thanks cel, you are right, these are exactly the crits I'm looking for! When I'm are modeling for too much time I can't see some obvius details:cool:
Tomorow I'll put an updated image with the hands smaller, and a new shield. And if I can I'll try to make more rounded the thighs!
thanks a lot!!!!

Here's the new shield, I render it with texture so you can see the detail, every time when I can I try to put the detail in the texture, not in the mesh. because I have only 256 mb of ram.
This is a very simple a light shield, because is for a woman:rolleyes:

I know what you mean about the polys. Your right, if you can put the details in the textures, most of the time it's better that way. Especially if you are dealing with hardware limits! Maybe more spectular on the metal parts and more bump on the mud. Lookin good.

That is definitly an improvement. I think the but should be bigger as well. Now that the thighs are rounder it looks a little small. Are those creases around the waist clothing or skin? Later:buttrock: Better!

What's funny is I'm gay, and the first thing I notices is her breasts look to stretched out...like they are narrow verticly.
LOL
Oh and is she too far back on her heels?
Great work though! fantastic job!

Hey, another suggestion. The area where the shin meets the ankle looks a little off. It looks like the lower part of the shin and the ankle joint should be moved inward a little. I think that this would creat a smoother flow for the eye from knee to foot. What do you think? :)

caffeineman has a good suggestion. In the side view the body is too far back. It looks like she is going to fall backwards.

cel, caffeine, thanks for yours c&c's!
I know what I can add a lot of detail in the anatomy, (like these obvious error in the breast). But for the moment I’m done with the modeling stage, I'm very tired! :scream:
Now I'm in the texture stage, and some dynamic for the animation, here is a link www.ancestral.estudioiris.com.ar/video/collar3.avi (http://www.ancestral.estudioiris.com.ar/video/collar3.avi) of one of the test.
and tell what you think of the colors and materials.

pd: really thanks. and I hope the next wip I get more feedback! :bounce:

Hi!

That is a very nice model.

But please don`t call it medival... it is rather fantasy kind. And it hurts to hear such a description for somone who study medival material culture.

Check this link if you want to get very good references of medival clothing and armour:
