Hi everyone, I want to know how to speed up my animation, I tried increasing the playback speed in the time config menu, but it only speeds up the playback in the viewport. When I rendered the animation, it still plays at a normal rate. My video is 15 secs long, I want to speed up the animation so that the video becomes less than 10 secs long. Any help appreciated! Thanks.

Have you tried changing the FPS or rescaling the animation keys?

Changing the FPS doesn't work, because it does not really speed up nor change the length of the animation. Also, adjusting the timeline only truncates the background movie, since obviously it does not have any keyframes.

I finally came up with a solution, I used an external program to speed up the movie. I don't think 3ds max can increase the speed of the background avi movie, but then again I could be wrong. Anyway thanks for your reply mike.
