Hello,

I was wondering which cad-card u would recommend for maya and rhino? I've heard that ati does not mix with maya, but does that include the fireGL -series?

also, will a cad card give me better performance in 2d programs like photoshop (I have an ati x1800 512mb) or does it all depend on processor and ram?

thank u!

your ati1800 should be plenty for photoshop and cad....enjoy

Your ATI will work in maya but there are some known hardware rendering issues, so for hardware particles and stuff you may have some issues. Also certain cards have problems in the viewports but as far as I know the X series solves these problems.

No a video card will not speed up 2d performance.
