View Full Version : Why Cap command is not working?

Hello,
please can someone help me with this problem. I created this via the bonus tool command Extrude curve Normal to Surface. But im not allowed to cap, any ideas?

I'm thinking dupborder then a loft or sweep rails command... Possible even a very flexible patch. Those would be the quick solutions that first come to mind... try them out first and get back to us :thumbsup:

To answer your specific question, cap only creates planar surfaces, nothing nearly as complex as what is in your screengrab. If you aren't all that concerned about the editability or cleanliness of your surfaces then you could try splitting edges on both surfaces at fairly even intervals and then lofting between those edges. However, I would suggest splitting the curves you built those surfaces from into pairs that you can loft in a more controllable manner. (Maybe take a look at the info on 'fairing' in the Rhino documentation if you wonder what the hell I'm talking about)

Thank you for your help. I will try lofting. What has worked is the EdgeSrf command.
