We are seeking an experienced AI programmer to join our highly talented team to work on an impressive roster of recently signed projects.



Main Functions of the Job:



To join an exciting dedicated programming team to design, implement, and integrate artificial intelligence aspects for current and next generation platforms. The AI Programmer will implement and maintain AI behaviours for game entities and bosses and will also work closely with game designers while iterating on AI game play. Work with a team of programmers from pre-production to final production of the project.

To be part of a production team developing exceptional games with high quality art work, strong technology and innovative game play.





Main Duties/Responsibilities:



1. The AI programmer is responsible for creating and maintaining the highest quality AI systems and game play.



2. Collaborate with designers and artists to determine the best implementation for game AI behaviours.



3. Responsibilities include working closely with other programmers and the game development team to implement character/object and AI game systems.



4. Design and help implement game-specific systems in a proprietary scripting language.



5. Investigate and recommend algorithms for improving game play features and performance.



6. Communicate with engine and design staff to determine additional game requirements as well as understand and use the capabilities of the existing engine.



7. Consistently strive to maintain or exceed the highest quality standards of the Studio.



8. To undertake any other such duties and responsibilities this may fall within the role of such a post.



9. To undertake training courses to meet the requirements of the position.





Skills/Technical Ability:



1. Three years of professional software development experience in C/C++



2. At least 2-3 years console development experience, must have worked on shipped titles.



3. Experience developing AI for a successful video game product (at least one published Xbox or PS2 title).



4. Ability to work in a team environment where collaborative design and structured code architecture are the norm.



5. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work to and meet tight production deadlines.



6. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.



7. Specialization in computer AI architecture.



8. Experience with game play systems including AI and overall game flow control.



9. Ability to write maintainable and extensible code.



10. A positive attitude and the ability to take direction and receive criticism.



11. MUST be an enthusiastic gamer.:)
