Hey everyone,
Well I'm rather new to this entire 3d stuff, and i'm starting to realy like it. I began with lightwave 6.5 3 months ago, and for the past week or so i switched to Maya. This is a model of my left hand, no bg reference pics or nething, just looked @ my hand, and well here's what i got so far..i think i spent around 15 hours on it...i know that must be very slow for most of u but hey i'm just getting the hang of this ... Ne comments , suggestions, etc ... will be helpfull.

Very good!

i can see no problems... Anatomically very correct from what i can see :)

Only thing is the area around the nails... check that area again

Did you model the wrinkles?

Looks like that.. maybe its faster to bump them... but that depends how much detail you want... If youre going to use this in animation later you'd probably want two versions this one for closeups and the the bump-wrinkled for shots further away.

Humm.. that is just my reflections.

The only thing that I see that is not quite right is the area where the fingers join with the palm...it's too straight, should be a bit of a curve there. Highest point is between the middle and ring fingers, next high point between index and middle, and a low point between ring and pinky.

The pinky is a little too small and the top side of the thumb should be rotated inwards.

Otherwise looks good.
