Hello everyone!

This is a character me and my friend RedZac made for a game called Neon Conspiracy. While he did the model and animations, I outworked the skin. And to answer this question already: Yes, we were inspired by Counterstrike, well at least a little ;)

Unfortunately the game has been cancelled. I was capable for leveldesign and texturing there...

Mh, if you knew CS you would see that it isn't. If I say it is selfmade, it IS selfmade. Why should I post alien work here?

the texture is pretty cool, especially the eye, make the character looks really angry

I don't think, he looks angry...

In my eyes he seems to be scared, the eyes are too wide open.
you see the whole pupil, thats very unusual!

even terrorist now what theyr oing and don't have panic (usually :D). So try to change this, try to make the angry face expression by pulling down the eyebrows or something like this :)

all in all nice looking model and epecially skin, but I wasted my time on cs related sites for too long, I'm tired of seeing weapons, terrorists and policemen :D

i'd say the same than LoneLobo.

Eyes doesn't show any anger. He looks scared or at least, surprised (that's not an easy thing to create).
This is not a real prob, easy to retouch.

for once i'd like to see a wireframe.
I think there's a real good job on textures, but the mesh itself is... rigid.
He stands on his legs like a toy. There's no weight impression.
The shooting position is rigid as well.

I like it excluding the front and back west texture. I think you should come up with something more original than just plain stripes. Maybe some pockets or what ever.

textures are fine, but he's holding the gun rather awkwardly.

Thought: Why is it, in games and movies, 99% of terrorists are crazy caucasians, but in real life 99% of terrorists are crazy arabs? No offense to arabs. Not all Arabs are terrorists... I'm just saying all terrorists are Arab.

Hehe thanks for all your nice answers, I have to say that we are both quite beginners (this was my first character skin) and RedZac's first model, so shurely there are some things to improve. I'm totally aware of that this model can't mess up with all this excellent highpoly stuff I see here, for example this Blizzard guy or soemthing, but well we are still learning ;)
Just see it as a little work from two beginners who try to improve themselves ;)

Well about the eye thing, I will try to change this, my intention was to make him look some kind of crazy or somethin', let's see if I can do this.

Well I think it is a bit strange to claim that all terrorists are arabs, and I wouldn't think a turban or something would stand him well ;)

I'll post a wireframe as soon I can enter my PC. You are right there maybe will be some improvements to do. But hey the whole model consist only out of 900 polies ;)

keep groovin man,
no prob for the poly count, just few vertices adjustments, that wouldn't even change your texture placement.
a bit more flexibility in the legs...

on which engine is your game based?
seems to be based on HL/Q2 etc., 900 polies are far from the polycounts of today's models!

In my opinion it's not very usefull to make a mod/game based on such an old engine!

Well the engine we had more or less the state of a halflife engine, and the game was no MOD but a standallone running game.

Here I got a quick translation. Not very good but you can kind of figure it out.
