Hey... im a 3D Studio Max user myself, have been one since day 1 when I started 3d modeling. Now that I am looking at colleges I think I will be going to FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in NYC which I hear they have a good 3d modeling/animation program there. They also teach Softimage so thats what this thread is about... I just don't see Softimage getting the publicity as that of other programs such as 3dsmax, lightwave or maya... what game/commercials/movies have they used Softimage to make, is it as user friendly as other programs?
I guess what I'm asking is, does having good Softimage knowledge give one a good chance in the business world, or is work hard to come by where they want Softimage users instead of 3dsmax/lightwave/maya users?
