View Full Version : Painter and duel processors
crazytalk 08-29-2006, 05:01 PM I am looking to get a new computer (PC) and I was wondering if anyone knew if Painter takes advantage of having a duel processor system or would it be better to get a high end single processor system. Either way I am going to max out the RAM but I was just curious if I could pull out some more processing power with duel.
Thanks

I'm not sure if Painter takes advantage of multiple threads, but at this point in time, I'd definitely get a dual core processor over a single core. You can run other programs (like Photoshop) at the same time and not worry about stealing away cycles.
