Wow, first critic is coming from me :)
Actually the model is good and design is cool, however you got to change the mapping...
Well btw may be you can add something different (for more realism) to env.
Generally not bad...
the 3d model is good, but i think the shaders need more reflections and maybe some displace on the branch (donīt know if modo supports this feature)

Looking good, lovely design, and i like the concept. The shader on the wings is especially good. But you need to pay closer attention to detail in the image, i notice some interpenetration through the branch and some texture warping. Other than that, it's all pretty good. I would concentrate more on colours and lighting than anything else if you are going to work more on the image.
Anyway, good stuff!

Well.. I can't say much about the modelling. However, the texturing needs some work.
Both the background and the branch is noticeably tiled. You need to fix that.
I would also try to get more contrast on the butterfly. Try darker metal or less reflective.
Perhaps something that is more reflected in the material could also work.
In all, more contrast and fix the tiling.

It even looks like there's shadow casting from the butterfly onto the background image...
Fix the backgound and post it again, 'cause the butterfly is pretty cool!

Move its right (closer to us) antenna to where it doesn't over lap its other antenna. It's hard to tell the two apart. Having parts overlap will not give you a good silhouette value.
Also, what is that other part (stick like) that is behind its head?

Thanks everyone for replying. I totally didnt see the background mistake. So here is a new render, i also added a hdr kind of thing. I dont know just experimenting. Thanks again.

That last render is much better though I don't like the eyes. Butterflies have huge eyes and even for the robot that would be a better approach to visualize the eyes i think. I do like the branch.

I like the concept very much. I also think the rendering is much better the second time. The tree branch texture is pretty good now, but there's still a strange seam running along the top.
The main question I have is: are you sure this is a butterfly and not a dragonfly? The body shape, head and especially the wings leads me to believe it's a dragonfly.
I'm also wondering how this little robot holds onto the branch with its four legs. Perhaps the ends of the legs should have hooks, or little pinchers, or???
Not that a robot has to mimic reality, but insects always have six legs. Not sure how six would work with the mechanism you've designed, they may be too crowded on the body mass. As I said, a robot doens't have to mimic reality.
Good job so far!
