Title: Qiane, Goddess of Illusions
Name: Shreya Shetty
Country: India
Software:

Goddess and Queen of Eithanas, Qiane is the personification of the false realm itself. Or maybe Eithanas is just an extension of her. Shifting between the living world and the afterlife, those who get into Eithanas may not get out, unless the Goddess wills them so.

The daughter of Rakhn, she inherited his power of weaver-magic. But while Rakhn prefered to weave his way into the fates of the living, Qiane wove her magic into creating her own world.Though, what her hands created, her sight destroyed. So she veiled her eyes, content to live in her own illusionary world and see through Valha and Mentit, her pet crows.

----

Shamelessly enough, I drew this character of mine prematurely only because I wanted to submit something for Exotique 2, haha .
Many MANY thanks to all those who helped me in my WIP (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=390646&page=1) thread.

Hi Shreya :)

I'm glad you finally post it in the gallery! It looks beautiful. It was fun and inspiring to follow the wip for the painting and it turns out perfect. Congrats!
Ok, now back to work, back to work :bounce:...(joking).

Do I really need to let you know how I voted? ;)

Gorgeous Shreya! I can't remember if I ever posted about this in the WIP -- but I still dig her foot the most, the sole of it is just soooo realistic. It's perfection. Yes yes her face is stunning, but that foot and the cloth around it, to /die/ for.

I dunno why, but I dig the foot. And I have no fetishes o.O

Beautiful colors, too. The cloth is stunning. Her fingers entirely creep me out - so that's intended and it's working :)

All in all a giant

Shreya, this looks absolutely awesome. The tree is really neat. I also really love the crows in the background. But most of all, love her face!! This is so beautiful, and not the usual model-face you see either. I think it's really neat how she has a rounder face and a little button nose, such cute features, and yet she still looks like she could be cruel. Very awesome. Great work, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you work on this. I also cannot wait to see what you work on next!

Wow :D

brady-scott: Thank you!

DigitalSol: Aww thanks! I'm waiting to see your masterpieces!

Kelandra: Thanks! :D Back to work..yep. Or maybe time to catch some sleep, hehe.

W-I-L: Thank you! I guess I spent a lot of time in trying to get the face as I wanted it. Wish I spent some more time on her dress, haha.

Runecaster: I love looking at feet in paintings too, hahaha.Thank you very much!

waheednasir: Thanks for taking the time to post here too! :)

Sylanya: My original concept involved giving her a split personality of sorts, so I'm really happy to see you can see the cruel-potential in her face. Thank you!

Ah, what a wonderful artwork Shreya. I love the classical look andt he soft smooth feel of the entire piece. The only crit I have concerns the pillow (?) she supports herself on - at least on my screen it's very very dark, practically black, and it looks like she would be floating in the air.
Other than that, beautiful work =)

CGadrian: Thank you! :D

Blessing: Thanks! I hope you like the WIP too :)

Micro26: Thank you very much!

MichaelZHsee: Yes, finally!I think I started getting tired of this one, haha. Thank you so much!

BlacKeri: I think I need a new monitor, I can see the cushions clearly enough :-/. Monitor calibration is probably the biggest problem in digital art. I edited the cushions a wee bit more though (not sure if it gets updated in the gallery too, it's there in my portfolio). Thanks!

I absolutely love the color palette and her face but I'm not able to understand her pose: I see a trouble expecially on hips and right leg. This one is - in my opinion- described by a too high cloth's borderline and its volume is not defined as well as, for example, breast and calf's ones. A "sob" for hair too : in my opinion they break body's harmony, cutting it in the middle... but, of course, it's a matter of taste.

I give you 4* cause I believe in your capabilities and I've seen all your other works : you are able to do more.

Cianidas: Thank you!

CyborgJA: Ah, you're right. The problems started with the addition of the hair (it made the leg look wrong, divided the figure- one of my concerns too). But I guess I just got carried away with the thought of long hair. Bad Shreya! But I completely agree and thank you for the crits, I'll work harder next time ;)

pap87: You're too kind, thank you!

DarkSkills: Thank you! Somene else mentioned it too, I didn't see that first but maybe it's her lips? :)

rawwad: Thank you very much!

I haven't been around for a while, and have missed a while lot of works in the meantime -- so I feel lucky I saw this. :)

Very wood work. I remember I had liked the face a lot in your sketches thread, and it's a an interesting character concept, too.
I might have liked to see a little more of the 'realm' suggested in the picture, but that's pretty much the only criticism I have at this point. It's beautifully put together all in all.

direndra: Thanks! :)

Arty2: Thank you!

Dianae: Thank you very much:) We've missed you in the WIP forum :)

Nazirull: Thanks :D

eilidh: I had a completely different idea in mind when I started, but I figured I was getting too ambitious for one piece. I want to paint the realm, and maybe the Goddess in "action, again. Thank you so much!
