Finally. I used to alot of web design, but hadn't lately, so I figured what better project to get back in the swing of things than my own site! Logical. So anyway, I made the site. I was going to go with a techy, high-detail, funky site, but decided the simple approach would be nicer for now.

The site has my game art, comic coloring (COLORING, not drawing AND coloring(colorists color more than their own work)), my 3d stuff that I have done so far, and any other crap I decide to throw there.

Here is the site (haven't bought a domain yet):

Tell me what you think, about anything on it.

Out of 153 views, no one takes the time to comment. I can feel my self esteem falling out the window.

OK, I'll give you a reply...

Looked at the site...

Very impressed with your model of the air bike. I think what you need in the stills is more showing the full bike and not just close-ups. The eyeball really should go, sorry but it doesn't add to your site.

In the game art section you have a skin...do you have a shot of it on the model?

Well, that's my advice.

Thanx alot guys. The eyball will probably be removed once I make a character that uses that eye. I don't have a pic of the skin on the model because (i think i mentioned this on the site), I lost the model in a crash, but still had the skin on the net to get later.

The reson I don't have a whole lot of 3d up is because I was totally new to 3d 3 months ago, so I am just now learning.

I am gald you like the site, and I'll be sure to keep it updated.

I like the layout. the eye doesn't fit at all though. I'd remove it if I was in your place...

I really like your site. The jet bike model is awesome. What do you use for modeling? I'm always impressed by the beauty of Brazil renders.

I think you have quite a range in your work. I really enjoyed your color work, not so typical of 3D perfection we see over and over. Are the hero illustrations yours as well as the coloring?
Keep it going!!

it's not what you use, it's how you use it.
um... i was talking about SOFTWARE.

really though, there is no program that will make one's work good, nor any 'make good art' button to be found. ideally, you shouldn't be able to tell what program was used by looking at the render. feel free to explore other programs, but don't let it stop you from doing good work because someone says it should be done in program x. most skills you learn in one program can be used in any other.

so focus on what you are doing, not where it's being done. employers look at the art first, then the programs. they can train a good artist to use their tools, but they will have a harder time training someone to be a good artist.

ok, rant over.
btw. i like your work. any chance of seeing that game art head texture on the model?

95% chance that there is no chance, but I'll see if I can find out if I ever sent the head to any of my friends. Maybe one of them still has it laying around to send to me.

Your lineart section, that is not your work. Even though you have put a disclaimer there, you are still using someone elses work to promote yourself. I would advise drawing your own lineart and coloring it. If you got permission, that's one thing, but if it was my artwork, I'd be pissed all to hell...
