TDP40oz 08-27-2006, 06:14 PM Hey guys I’ve been working on this 5 second clip. I just need some feedback on it. Thanks!
Here it is with one old rig:

Hehe, I really like it. I dunno if it's just YouTube, but when he says 'something' right at the end (on the Generi rig) it doesn't appear that his mouth says anything. Unless he's speaking through gritted teeth? If that's the case, personally I don't feel that comes across as well as it could.
Aside from that, nice little clip
Also, I think I actually prefer the old rig you've used.

hahaha yes.. that is crazy :D i think it just needs some smoothing between poses, and did you use IK handles?

i actually liked the generi version better.. somethin about it makes it stand out, i think because most generi animations are super lame, and yours has a lot of crazy energy to it! now onto critique.. when he pauses, he's totally stopped. a nice trick to keep it flowin is to make it look like hes breathing. in this case, taking deep breaths because hes excited and yelling. and the ending ends too fast imo.. like where he says "somethin" you can't see the S part of it and it looks awkward. like the animation on that word needs to delayed a few frames. next is the hands.. IK is all bad. you get away with it in the beginning, but watch out for the hand on the left. at a few points it sticks and stays put while the body moves around. IK hands usually stray from human-like movements.. but anyway, i love the quote, and its definitely comin along! for sure throw this on your reel! :buttrock: keep it up dude!
