I have looked around the internet a lot and come across hundreds of sites that really hav inspired me at times, looking around on these forums i get really shocked by how Pro the work is. I really want to be capeable of what you lot can do.

thats a good start

try to interact the background with the foreground.

1 work on the electric arc
try to ehnance the metal look, the "dingy" font should be lighten by the electric arc.

3 this one is good, maybe you can work behind the "minky" letters to ehnance it.

just remember one thing
background are here to enhance your font.

you like the cloud effect a lot....do you

good job

I do like the cloud effect, for some reason i find that a good place to start from. That a bad thing, i really need to find different things for backgrounds other than clouds but i really am not sure what?

I always seem stumped for things to do to text... but i will try to make it part of the picture more and not just floating on the surface

Search the net for free textures. Grab a few you like and lay them subtly in the background using a layer mode like screen, or dodge or soft light etc... That helps you start out on a design and at least it quickly gets rid of the blank space. You may even remove it later when you get all your other elements in there. The clouds filter is great but you have to move on like you said at some time. I would suggest textures, not overpowering ones, just subtle and used for the same purpose as you have used the clouds filter for your banners.
