I've been working on this on and off for the past several months... and it's been brought to my attention that martini's are clear. SO then I decided... ok it's time to make this baby clear!!!

But that's a whole different monster to tackle. I've looked at photographs of glasses with clear liquid... I've even poured water into a cup and stared at it... I learned alot but nothing I could really bring to this drawing. My latest attempt at clear liquid (below) doesn't look that bad.... but doesn't look that good either...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is clear, the background should show through :)The submerged part of the body should be seen too.

If you have the liquid in its own layer you could drop the opacity of the layer down to let the background show through, or paint directly with a very low opacity brush. You can also see the back area of glass through the liquid - the disorted curve of the glass through the liquid.
I really like the figure and proportions - really nicely done.
