Using the copy collections for biped poses and postures is a great time saver to build new animations quickly. However it seems there is a shortcomming on the "Tracks" feature.
There are certain animations (like for a critter's tail) that I would like to record as a track and then paste it back onto a different animation. Unfortunately when you paste it, everything else that existed on that track before gets wiped out. I have spent hours trying to figure out a way to paste a track (starting at a given keyframe). I don't see how it is possible to concatenate 2 separate "copied tracks".
It doesn't seem possible to do with layers either because the coodinates of the body parts on the new track are always changed relative to the original track.
The motion mixer seems like a alternate solution if I want to go the NLA non linear animation route (which I don't). Any advice from some verterans out there?
