View Full Version : Mesh will not render using Mental ray Approximation editor

This is the weirdest thing, I've got polymesh that I exported from Maya to Zbrush to detail then exported back to apply a displacement map. I'm using the standard mental ray approximation editor method to on it and it will not render in mental ray. Every other mesh I've ever put a mental ray approximation works fine, but for some god forsaken reason this polymesh will not render. Any help you goes can shoot my way would be awesome

Try smoothing it one level first.

our JR modellor left a double poly under the nose, and as I've found out mental ray does not like double poly displacement.
