Greetings,
I was wondering if there is a manipulator/command/plugin/way to have Maya select only the closest facing face when you click your mouse, rather than all viewport-facing faces that are under the cursor. For example, if you have two spheres that are part of the same shape and they overlap each other in the viewport, when you click on a face on the nearest sphere you will also select faces on the back sphere that are under the mouse cursor. I want to only select the closest poly that is clicked on, not the ones behind it. Backface culling doesn't help here.
I thought such a plugin existed, but I can't find it on HighEnd3D anywhere.
Any suggestions are appreciated,
