View Full Version : Premiere 6 - targa sequence = darkened video export?
Coolhand 08-24-2006, 06:13 PM Hi All, I'm making videos from targa sequences (renders from 3d studio) problem is that all the white in the resulting video seems to be reduced to light grey, making for dull looking images in the resulting video export, i've tried cinepak and divx (i need a divx as the final output really)but i think i'm just doing something wrong, can anyone help me?

Is all the white in the video a transparent material? If so then you need to disable the alpha channel. You can do this by adding a alpha adjust filter and checking off the alpha.

no i dont think its an alpha issue as the renders are essentially the background plates, all i'm compositing over the top is a small company logo. like i said the problem is that they just export out darker, and slightly greener... for some reason. no matter how bright i make it, it clips the white down to light grey.

ok, i just rendered a video straight out from max, so no premiere, no targas... and still its dark, weird.

I know that Xvid has a tendency to come out dark when I use it. It must be your codec.
