If you can wait a bit longer, I think 3DAttack is coming out with its own version of Sniper.

Try to contact hime a few weeks back. No answer. I guess he moved on to other things. Maybe Per A knows. Some of the plugs wont work anymore needed support but I guess we are beating a dead horse here! =)

uhhhh

anyway this SHOULD BE, absolutely part of cinema .. live render preview and render region in picture viewer, and save render image for comparison with later render within picture viewer ...

does anyone know how long the 3D attack guys will take for this?

With Paul coding for Maxon now (or am I wrong?) I wouldn't be surprised if R10 would incorporate a preview window like Sniper. But that's of course pure speculation. Anyway, I agree it should be in the standard C4D toolset. I think 3D-attack didn't give a timeframe yet for their 'secret' release.

Yes, would be good if something like that came to C4D natively. I've so gotten used to FPrime in Lightwave and iView in modo, I can barely live without it. Didn't they sell Sniper Pro with the LW-Companion promo at one point?

I believe so... they definitely sold it with the engineering bundle. It's sortof showing it's age, now, though... I don't believe it was ever updated past the initially released version. The one w/ the engineering bundle did have a new splash screen tho :/

It doesn't work real well with some of the newer stuff like MoGraph... there are some oddities and some crashes. Still better than nothing much of the time, though.

Yep, he's been not answering for quite some time. In fact as a paying customer I'm quite ticked off that Paul has been brushing off emails. It's not like the emails are bouncing back.

I've said it before, if you aren't going to support paying customers then don't offer your plugins for a price.

Not only did he explain the problems with e-mails, but also, as this is about three weeks ago, he may be on a holiday.

Problem is that, as Maxon vows absolute secrecy, this feature may be in the next upgrade also. So if this plugin is what we suppose it is, it may be a temporary solution.

We all get spam Erik, and you know I still make the effort to double check that I don't miss anyone. You can also use intelligent filtering using the product names in the body of messages since that would usually indicate a valid user. Sorry, but I've made multiple inquiries from a valid email and to top it off it is the same email I registered with Paul when I bought products, still no reply.
